How do I apply for a library card?
To receive an adult library card, you must provide current identification with both name and address (example driver's license or utility bill).
Children under the age if 18 must have a guardians address and signature on their application card.
What is the My Info button on the Online Catalog?
My Info:
When accessing the Online Card Catalog you will be able to view your own Patron Information checkouts, fines, holds, and reserves. Click on 'My Info' and enter your library barcode number. (Please note that there are letter o's and number 0's included in the barcode.)
The password is your last name.
How can I renew materials?
Renewals cannot be completed from the online catalog.
You must call the library (814) 224-2994 or e-mail the library info@roaringspringlibrary.org.
New materials renew once for an additional 14 days.
Regular materials renew once for their specified borrowing days.
Music CD's renew once for an additional 7 days.
VCR's and DVD's can be renewed once. Renewal will result in a $1.00 rental fee for an additional 7 days.

How many items can I borrow?
A patron may borrow 10 items on their card. There are a few restrictions on the number of items you can borrow. Videos, Music CD's and Magazines are limited to three. Restrictions may be placed on certain subjects in connection with school assignments.

Can I request items from other libraries?
If we don't have the book you are looking for we can borrow it from other libraries through Interlibrary Loans. In most cases, this is a free service. If you wish to check if the item is available at another Blair County Library please visit www.blaircountylibraries.org
Can I donate books to the library?
We welcome donations of books that are in good condition. Many are added to the library collection. Others are sold at the Friends of the Library sponsored book sales. These sales raise funds for the Library.
How do I give a book in memory of honor of somebody?
You may also make a contribution in Memory or Honor of a friend or loved one. This can be done by requesting a book memorial or a gift to the memorial fund. These contributions help purchase Library materials. Books bear a special bookplate showing a gift in memory of someone special.
Do you have Internet Access?
Computers are available for patron use. You must present your Library Card to use the Internet. An Internet Acceptable Use Agreement must be signed by all users. Children under 18 must have a guardian present to sign an agreement for them. All patrons under ninth grade must be accompanied by their guardian while using the internet.
Wireless Internet Access is also available.
Can I obtain a Passport at the Library?
No. Passports can be obtained at the Roaring Spring Post Office.
