Fittersize – Participants learn about fun ways to incorporate fitness & movement into literacy activities.

Family Place – Family Place is a center for early childhood information, parent education, emergent literacy, socialization and family support. Family Place builds on the knowledge that good health, early learning, parent involvement and supportive communities play a critical role in young children’s growth and development.

Wiggle & Giggle – Dance, sing, and laugh while moving and grooving. Learn how music helps children remember concepts and learn words.

Mother Goose on the Loose – Young children can prepare for school by developing a love of reading through nursery rhyme activities and music. The program demonstrates how fingerplays, dances and physical exercise are used as a natural method to enhance the development process.

Lego Program – Children ages 5 and up are invited to Roaring Spring Community Library’s Lego Club.  Each building session will be based on a theme and the children’s creations will be put on display at the library.  Sometimes the children will build creations by themselves and other times they may be asked to work in groups.

Block Party – Children ages 3 – 6 will have the opportunity to enjoy a wonderful set of wooden building blocks.  Research has shown that block play helps children develop these skills: socio-emotional, social studies, physical development, mathematics, science, language arts, and art.  Research has shown that block play helps children develop these skills: socio-emotional, social studies, physical development, mathematics, science, language arts, and art.
